Women have been celebrated over the years since 1911 following the wide campaign by over one million people in European countries to support the equality and rights of women. Ever since, the campaign for the inclusion and equality of women has spread over the world recording positive responds and support from all genders.

The 2024 IWD’s theme is Inspire Inclusion

It is a prospective step to inspire the effective participation of women. It’s silvery to accept diversity, and golden to embrace inclusion. When women are inspired and motivated to participate it prompt a sense of belonging in them and boost their empowerment.

Every International Women’s Day is a recommitment of support for the empowerment of women in our societies and their impact. Each year comes as a step to a utopia reflecting a journey of successful participation and achievements of women socially, economically, and politically.

This movement promotes against gender marginalization of women in key decision making and leadership roles. It encourages the acceptance of women from all walks of life and their unique perspective. Organizations are encouraged to embrace this wave of equality by giving fair opportunities to women and inspiring them through various mediums such as advocacy campaigns.

The advocacy for equal rights of women should be receipted for a long-lasting commitment to the betterment of humanity. Thus, in my opinion, speaking loudly on the inclusion of women gives me a sense of responsibility towards the advancement of humanity by dismantling negative norms and cultures that limits the involvement of women making them vulnerable to social injustice and discriminated.
